Looking for pump ideas to send sap from a pumphouse to the upper road about 1400 ft with slight up hill will have about 1500 taps going to tanks
I have been using a setup now for four years with a submersible pump for deep wells, put it in a 4in pvc pipe and a quick connect 2in fitting on the end. I use it on a tote and get almost all the sap out ,of course what is in the line
runs back to tank and at the end of the run I go get it with some water cans. If you would like some pics I have them on here under my name. I use a 240 v 2wire 3/4hp . the first year I used a generator until I could find wire I am pumping 150 ft vertical with 750 ft waterline using 1/2 black plastic water line , one could use larger but it would be more to haul back at the end of the day. My run back sap is about 12 gal or so. If pics are an issue send me a email on private msg and I can send to you.
Give us some more information do you have gravity feed to tanks and wanna pump up hill or is sap coming to releaser then pumping up hill? What kind of power do you have?
No power would have to be gas powered.. Would just a water pump work .. Just don't know how big of a pump I need... ..it is gravity , its just in a big hole and no road access.
Deep well submersible.

Try ebay for a cheap one. At my camp I'm using a cheap ebay deep well submersible 4" pumping straight vertical out the well 100' and it works good.

If your using generator for power a 3phase pump with vfd is the way to go no doubt.
we use a harbor freight 1" pump that pumps out 1600 feet with about a 40 to 50 foot rise. we have the pump hooked up to a 1-1/2" irregation line. It takes about 20 mins or so to pump out 400 gallons. We have been using it this way for years. We do not have any way get electric down to the tank unless we want to spend some bucks.
