    Default extra defoamer

    I have a unopened bottle of defoamer, whats the best way to store it for next season? Freezer or fridg?
    5th generation
    2 1/2 Buckets
    815 gravity
    2 new flat pans. Back pan now has 16 V's

    Fridge or freezer both work.
    2008 4 buckets
    ~

    You can store in either the frig or freezer, really doesn't matter.

    But I do have to agree with Scm, there are better options, I use safflower oil.
    Until recently I did not know that regular defoamer that you get from the big maple equipment suppliers are a vegetable based oil with can cause allergy issues with some customers.
    So this year I switched to safflower oil, sunflower will work also.

    Also it is cheaper to buy and way easier to get, just go to your local grocery store.

    Sunflower and safflower oils can cause anaphylaxis in people who are sensitive to the Asteraceae/Compositae family.

    Organic sunflower oil. I used 2 drops in 4 gallons. No taste, zero side effects.

    Used butter for years and I would still use it if I didn't sell bulk. No chemicals that are bad for you or you can't pronounce and it worked better than atmos. People around here have used butter for hundreds of years and nobody ever keeled over dead from their syrup.

    Any source for information regarding allergy issues with Atmos?
