    I think I will be able to get home today after 8hrs not 16 and will see if the sap I packed in the snow forget when but try to make syrup then it's the sad happy day of the end of season,but we have the best temp swings the last week and forcast for 10 days is perfect but think it's done tapped 1/27

    Still going just told us at least one more day so hope it's still good til Thursday to RO n boil?

    Now that most of the power is back up phone company has been 12 hour days since last Saturday. In reality 15 hour days . I have 200 gallons to boil , when that will be I don't know .

    Worked last night so it pump or dump it tonight I will boil a small pit n see then on call all weekend just happens to be my turn so have to do it now.

    vac still pulling it in, but less and spoiling faster, closing in on 10,000 gal sap, 5400 from vac from 580 taps since 73* day on 2/21, other 450 gave up after that, sap still 1.3.

    Finished RO N BOIL last night 75gal keep the newer from the other 70 in the snow made a good gal of light,will try the older 70 in the snow tonight but then we're done!

    I did last night,had to catch up on something's on the farm so maybe boil or dump the rest I'm forced on call my turn just happens to be so if I'm home it will be the last. Thanks for the kind words forest how is your season going?

    With two early season mini-runs I made a gallon of gorgeous light syrup. But that's it. No sap since March 3rd. Not a drop. (My signature is sadly up-to-date. )

    Spring will eventually come up here and with any luck I'll be cursing these dry weeks. I can't wait to be over run with sap and deprived of sleep. Sounds like good times to me.
