Your set-up sounds very similar to mine. I actually have probably closer to 2000' of 1" main, and have about 440 taps. I run a 6.5hp predator gas motor (which I'm in the process of switching over to a 2hp elec. motor), and a gast 1550 vac pump. I have a benard double barrel releaser that I picked up used. Its bigger then I need, think its rated for around 2000-3000 taps. Eventhough its rated for more then I have on a good run it'll still dump once every 60-90sec. This set-up for me is pulling around 25" of vac.

We had an old Alamo dairy pump and an Indiana gas powered. Drew the sap from our far back sugarbush across pur pasture to the sap house. No problem
