Default seeing some early signs of sap/syrup changes at 1200 feet in the Berks

Did my 6th boil since tapping on Feb 14th. I notices what looked like later seasonal changes this past weekend, more colorful fresh sap, more foam in the boil, and an amber product. (all lighter gold up to this weekend.) Maybe the taps are starting to show their age or inverse sugar starting. Any other in western MA seeing similar changes? Feels a bit early for the transition but it has been a warmer start to the season. Not complaining, it has been a busy few weeks so far!

haven`t seen much of any change sap or syrup , hoping the sugar content comes up a bit tho . yeah the trees got alittle to excited with the warm but no worries yet , its only march once the trees settle into the right temps we will be golden or amber for that matter.

    Default clear sap again

thanks, west maples, sap was clear again this week with colder temps. I re-read dr. Tim's post on invert sugar and realized it is tied to temps. Also tied to late season bateria but I see now my changes were temporary and temp related. Big snow today is going to make the operation challenging in comming days. Got spoiled collecting by wagon!

im glad we are getting this snow storm , just for the fact it will help regulate the high to low temps better. if the forecast holds true in my area for the next 5-7 days i should hopefully be drowning in sap , and help me deal with a sweet headache lol
