Boiled down 70 plus gallons and finished off 1/2 gallon of syrup. Sap was 2% on Sat........checked the totes this morning and already had 40 gallons of sap. This is going to be a busy week with the temps.

Nice! Down in the foothills the forecast is now only showing one night of freeze this week. Bummer for us, but should be great for you folks up higher!

I boiled down 36 gallons for just 2 1/4 quarts this weekend. 1.4% sap.

Did my forth boil yesterday. I made 3+ gallons so far this year all gold. Sitting on 55 gallons of sap this morning. Running 40 taps this year 14 of which are on a 3/16 run. Feels like I am way ahead of past season yields!

yeah honestly this year is the first year i tapped before the middle feb. and ive made more syrup than i ever have this early ( 47 gals ) as of yesterday and i feel our regular season is just starting, the only thing i hope is that the sugar content will come up a bit ( averaging 1-1.5 % so far) hopefully there is a couple big runs to make it a banner year .
