    Default Pump house question

So I built a pump house for one of my remote areas and I'm wondering if i should vent the exhaust from the pump to the outside? If I'm in there the door will be open, I just wonder if any residue from any of the oil or moisture being burnt off will negativity affect the sap at all. It's an airtech pump so I wouldn't imagine any smoke just the smell of warm oil.

If there is any sap in the same structure exposed to the air being exhausted from the pump, they yes you should vent the pump exhaust.

I believe if you can smell it its in the air. I vote for exhaust it outside.

There is sap in the same building. Would the sap pick up the exhaust odor?? That's what I'm wondering. Sounds like I should vent outside...

I can tell you that for organic certification you would have to vent the exhaust from any pump that exhausts oil mist out of a room where sap is stored....

What you are smelling is particles of oil in the air. They will settle out and if there is sap in the same building, it will settle out and contaminate the sap. To what degree it will contaminate the sap is certainly debatable, but why take the risk?
