    Default Tapped in Medfield, MA

I put out 9 taps in sugar maples Saturday and 9 more on swamp (?) maples yesterday morning. As of 3 PM yesterday, no sap. Maybe they are still frozen despite the temp. being 40 degrees?

I put in ten taps here in Sharon a week and a half ago, as this is my first year and I wanted to experiment. So far, I have collected twenty-four gallons of sap. I am taking a risk by adding eight taps today. Most of the trees are near a small stream.

Got 93 of 250 taps in yesterday. Got about 80 gals in 24 hrs. with a westerly slope. What kind of exposure do you trees have Warrior?

I think it's going to take quite a few days in the mid 40s to get the trees running after all those frigid nights we've had lately.

My sugar maples are mostly in the sun. The swap maples are not in the sun.

I collected 22 gallons of sap on Monday evening when I got home from work. Nothing since then.
