    Default Bricking the Arch

Bricking my oil tank arch today, I'm wondering if I need to cover the rock wool insulation on the ramp with brick. I did in previous seasons but it just compresses the insulation, making it less efficient. Should I cover it or not? Sorry for the sideways picture. I don't know why that happened!

No need to. The brick is really just there to protect the insulation from wood being thrown at it.

Are you going to put anything like ceramic board over the rock wool or leave it as is? I did a very similar thing with my barrel unit a few years back........worked well

I'm not planning to. I'm using the rock wool instead of ceramic board. It's not as durable but it's a lot cheaper, plus I already had half a bundle from another project. I've got it stuffed behind the bricks in the fire box too. I just wasn't sure which would be better, just the insulation or with bricks on top.
