    2018 Built the sugar shack, produced 10.5 gallons (converted some to sugar,& cream). taps varied 45 to 50
    2017 Built 2x4 arch for a divided pan, 8.5 gallons from 30 taps increased to 42 taps during season.
    2016 Produced 3 gallons & 1 quart Syrup, Block arch & 3 buffet pans, 12 taps
    2015 Thought about tapping

    Here is our sugar house. It was built by my Grandfather in the 1970's. This is the last year we are using it. I am hopeful to keep some of the wood and other pieces alive in the next sugarhouse my Dad and I are building this year.

    Tapping since 1985 (four generations back to early to mid 1900s). 200-250 taps on buckets and then tubing in the mid 90s. 2013- 275 taps w/sap puller 25 gal. 2014-295 taps w/sap puller 55 ga. (re-tapped to vacuum theory) 2015-330 taps full vac. 65 gal, 2016-400 taps 105 gal, 2017-400 taps 95 gal. 2018-additional 800' mainline and maybe 400 new taps for a total near 800 taps. 2x6 Leader WSE (last year on it) supported by a 250 gph RO.

    Still a newbie after 2 seasons.
    2016: 20 taps on buckets, 4 gallons of syrup finished inside on the stove, on a 2x3 steel arch with flat pan, outdoor boiling.
    2017: 32 taps on buckets, 8 gallons of syrup, on a "loaner" Lapierre 19x48 Mini-Pro, 120 SS tank, loaned by a friend. Makeshift 8x8 sugar shack attached to a shed with a plywood roof
    2018: 75 taps if i can convince my neighbors to let me tap their trees with tubing
