    Default Prefilters in bulk

I know I saw on this forum some where that you could get prefilters in bulk at a decent price. I have searched but can't find them much cheaper than $13 a piece and I can't find where that was posted.
Thinking I should be changing the filter everytime we use it to keep bacteria down but thats going to add up. How does everyone handle it and where are you buying your 10 house filters?

What size filters are you looking for? 2x10, 4x10, 2x20 or 4x20?

Thanks for the help as usual. Decided it was cheaper to switch it out to a 2.5 x 20. 4.5 x 10 are expensive in comparison. 2.5 x 10 only has about 60 gph flow so that did not seem right with a 100 gph ro. In all i will have a 2.5 x 20 and 25 filters for it for about 70 bucks. Cost of 4.5 x 10 was almost $80 for 12 i believe. Thanks guys.

I should have ordered last week. I just clicked on the link and the price has changed from $2.29 ea up to $4.99 each. I did not notice there was a sale price. Now I'll be ordering more from Ray Gingerich instead. I hope his prices didn't jump like that too.
Maybe before that I'll search for another source.
Then I searched for 2.5 x 20 5 micron polyspun water filters and I came back to the same site, but this time they were again $2.29 ea. I ordered 25 before the price jumped again.
I have no idea what happened to show the $4.99 each, but it was the same site and the same item both times. I like $2.29 better! Shipping was $6.90.

Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
    After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.

2.5 x 20 Filters by the case of 20 on ebay for $48.14 and free shipping. I use the 2x 10 on our 250 RO with no problems.

I think a 10" long filter would affect the flow much faster than the 20". As it is I sometimes need to put in a new filter before the day's boil is done, especially later in the season. If the low pressure starts to climb it shows more restriction. In use if that low pressure gets to 70 PSI on my RO I change the filter unless the sap is almost gone, because doing so I can see more flow in the flow meters. It only takes maybe 20 seconds to change and at a low cost per filter it's not worth pushing it.

I just did a search on ebay for the filters, do you have a link, a search only came up with filters for a higher price or with real high shipping. While I don't need any more this year, I likely have enough for 2 seasons since when my order arrives I'll have 45 or 46 in stock, it may help others.

I have 4x10 filters on my RO and am going to change it to a 2x20 for this year. 4x10's are hard to find cheap.
