Oh, sorry, I missed your reply. I'd be best trying to type this up on a PC vs my phone when I get a chance. I don't have it all written down anywhere...

2015 - Small operation. 25 buckets. One excited 5 year old and one 35 year old that feels 5 again.
2016 - One year older. New Homemade 2x4 Arch, Smoky Lake Pan and looking at 52 maples, 17 box elders and 2 walnut trees.
2017 - Shurflo 4008 hooked to 42 stingy silver maples and a few Norways. A couple buckets on sugars and Norways. 10 box elders.
    2018 - ...a few more taps.
2019 - ...more taps on 3/16 gravity. This spiral is heading downward in a hurry.

5/16. If I did it again, I'd go 3/16 even though I have next to no slope.

Why do you say that? I have done 3/16 with no slope and did not work well.

I'm curious too? I have 5/16 with some slight sags cause I have nowhere to side tie to. Was wondering if I'd be better with 3/16. I also have very little slope maybe 1%

I use 3/16 on all my shurflo systems even with no slope and it works really well. WITHOUT VACUUM it will not work at all with no slope, so if your pump is not running it will not work very well.

I'd go 3/16 since I have to take down my lines every season and it would be easier to handle than 5/16. Plus, more feet of tubing per $. Yes, Super Sapper covered the issue of no pump running. I'm flat enough here gravity does nothing. Gotta have the pump.
