    Default Clear Plastic Syrup Jugs-Bottles?

I've always packed in the glass 8 and 12 oz syrup bottles with the handle on the neck. I like the way it looks and it shows off our syrup.
But I've been thinking lately that I'd consider plastic if I could get a crystal clear bottle or jug. Lots of producers are packing in plastic opaque jugs.
If you're making nice syrup why not clear? It's a recyclable product, lighter than glass and would be easier to ship...

Has anyone used or seen one?

Sounds interesting, but I'm not sure there is a clear plastic that will take the heat.
Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
    After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.

There is a company out of Canada pushing a clear plastic jug. They sent us samples. A little pricey I felt, & for now we would need to come up with a label or use there's with french on it. What does everyone think?

    The name was clearpack.
Quart was .82 each & pint .68 each
This was my dealer price & did not include the caps or a label.
I didn't pursue any further. I would have shipping in it then if we marked them up 5-10%
Bought the caps & label they would be pricey. I am always Leary of new products as far as quality & service.

Did you receive any samples to look at clarity and quality?

Yes. They were very clear. Quality seemed fine but that would need tested.

Still interested, I'd like to see some, test our labels (syruplabels.com) which are sticky as can be, and see how they compare with the glass I've been using. I've contacted the company and am waiting for a reply.

I am super skeptical of using plastic at that temperature. Especially since it is likely made in places where poison plastic scandals are common. Constantly hearing about things leaching off plastic of all sorts, especially things that are allegedly "food grade." These days I don't trust assurances from manufacturers. Today we're told these are safe. Tomorrow we discover they aren't really safe, whoops, sorry. Sometimes it doesn't pay to save money for certain things. Interested in hearing other's experiences with these plastic containers.
