    Default Filter press suction hose

What are you guys using for a suction hose on your filter press? Last year I used a silicone hose but it collapsed easily. Thanks.

What diameter were you using? I use a 1" silicone hose and the valves that feed it are full port 1" valves. Mine has not failed and it's been in use for 6-8 years. Are you pumping with a gear pump or air diaphragm pump? If air, slow the pump down a little.
Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
    After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.

I use the same on my bypass hose, but not on suction nor pressure lines.

Milk hose. It is clear, usually with blue stripe, obviously food grade and thick wall so it doesn't collapse. They should have it at the FleetFarm in Hermantown.

I'm using an air diaphragm pump with 1/2" silicone tubing that collapses when the pump sucks. I have slowed it down but think I shouldn't have to if I have a different tubing.

Thanks for the info and discussion guys. I'll check with Fleet Farm.
