What are good one year spouts to use with the galvanized sap sack holders? I'm thinking the CDL health spout would be a good one. I don't want to wash spouts every year and I'm expanding this spring. Thanks!

Last year I used the disposable .16 cent ones from Leader and they worked great - I would think the CDL ones would work too.
I've used the clear leader 5/16 spouts with little success on bag holders. They always seem to blow off with the wind so I used some string to hold them in place. The lapierre clear elbow look like they'll work better for bag holders. The first year I used the metal ones and they worked great minus the huge tap hole in the tree
2018 - ?? 2x5 lapierre raised flue evaporator
2017 - 150 taps mixed 2.5 x 4 evaporator
2016 - 230 taps taps mixed 2.5 x 4 evaporator
2015 - 115 taps mixed buckets, bags and, water jugs. 2.5 x 4 evaporator.
2014 - 55 taps mixed buckets, bags and, drop lines. 4 steam trays and a block arch. 3 gallons made tapped prematurely (lesson learned)
I don't want my bags to blow off. I thought about putting a washer on each tap to hold the bag on. Already thinking of the season ahead. I did read that the leader check valves are better designed for tubing. Thanks for the replies!

Just a little food for thought. I had the same problem with bags (on PVC holders), blowing off the trees in the past. I decided to use a washer over the spout before I put it in the tree. It was kind of a pain because the washer would slide toward the tree when I took the bags off the trees, and then you had to try to get the washer to slide back and put the bag back on. I will say they did the job as far as keeping the bags on the trees, but I'm going to see if I can find a different spout for this coming season as it took too long to empty bags with the washer set up for me.
