    Default carling 702 burner?

I am wondering if anyone has any experience with the carlin 702 oil burner. I notice everyone seems to recommend a 601 or a 701 for a 3x10 setup but have access to the 702 so was hoping that would work just fine. Setup with be a 3x10 with 6 ft raised flue pan, flues just over 9" tall, with a steam away, then a preheater above that. have always burned wood but setting up a new arch with an oil burner for this setup, any advice is greatly appreciated.

    thanks

I have a 3x12 with a 701. I had to drop pressure down to just over 100 and go higher in nozzle size to get the front of the front pan to boil good. I would suspect that on high fire with the single nozzle 702 at a higher pressure the flame would be back further than wanted.

We run 701 on 3x10 and 3x12 with 150psi with no issues. I'm running 8.5 gph nozzle on mine.

The 701 has 2 nozzles for high and low fire with a toggle switch. The 702 has one nozzle and works off the oil pump with a draft control. Yes the 702 will do every thing you want it to do.

That is sort of what I was worried about but others have told me it would work. I really would like a 601 but will have these 702 and I think I'll have a 301 as well but feel that is just a tad small for a 3x10 setup

Perfect that's just what I want to hear. Just have no experience on this and haven't heard of anyone using the 702 although I'm sure there are some

I think I have all the specs around here on the 702. wiring, rates ect. On low fire I think the oil pressure is 100 psi, on high fire the pressure is 300 psi.
