    Default Anything new?

    Hey all,

Anyone have any expansion plans for the upcoming year?
I will be adding about 200-300 more taps with a high vacuum pump, this will be on top of my 500 from last year, had a old vac that would only get about 18" so this year should be good.
Share what your adding excited to hear all the additions
    Thanks

New 2x5 Smokey Lake hybrid is coming this week. Should be able to boil sap in half the time, which I will try and cancel out partially by setting 30% more taps this year

Will be in New Shack this year, waiting on my New 600gph RO, a few new tanks. Hopefully get another 300 taps out. I've had to buy syrup every year and at today's bulk prices it's not a big deal but I'd still like to be making all the syrup I sell.

Adding 200 taps on 3/16. Possibly a Bosworth diaphragm sap sucker.

Sold my Mason 2x4XL to some sap in Dutchess County!

Have a new 2x5 Smokey Lake drop-flue pan with a hood being built as we speak.

Bought the 19 acres right next door to me. Hope to close next week. Poked around and there seems to be a fair amount of maples on one section. Not sure how many more taps we'll do this year but a few I'd guess!!

Up to 140ish taps this year. All on 3/16 gravity plus shurflo pump. New pipe line to pump everything from lower holding tank to kitchen. New 2x6 arch build in progress with used raised flue pans. Moving boiling indoors and hoping to get the kitchen in the building licensed for syrup sale small time. Still figuring out the bottling side of it. So basically replacing every piece of equipment for 2018 season 😊
