out of curiosity, does anyone know the reason for Maine bulk prices rising this year? (pg 11) It seems interesting that it (and OH) are the only states which saw bulk prices go up in 2017. The taps, yield and production numbers are flat. Interesting that the large majority (93%) of sales are bulk.

    does anyone have any insight?

As a smaller producer my prices went down .10 a pound I lost 6000.00 in sales due to that .10 difference from last year. most likely will not be driving to get rid of syrup again. I am trying to find a market that I can sell 1000 gallons a year. 2016 2.20 a lb 2017 2.10 a lb.
