To quote both FedEx, USPS and likely UPS, the fragile label on a package does not get special handling. Over the years I've had no glass lost in transit, but I have had 4 shipments that I had to file claims on, 3 with USPS, and the 4th with FedEx. On the FedEx I shipped a 4 gal case of jugs, the case arrived all beat up and 2 gal were missing. On the others, all USPS flat rate, medium each with 2 half gal well packed. 2 never arrived (in 1 of those cases USPS mailed me back the label marked "Damaged in Transit"), the last arrived with significant damage and 1 jug missing, the other jug was ok. Just file a claim. When I file a claim, I claim the selling price of the product and show the invoice where the customer paid plus I charge the shipping cost.
USPS seems to be getting worse, I shipped for 10 years before I had my first claim, now in the last 2 years I've had all 4 I mentioned above.
Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.
