    That sickness is called the "maple bug". It is caused by the desire to smell maple sap boiling. Sufferers of this disease have been known to spend large sums of money on shiney stainless steel and plastic tubing to satisfy their addiction to the smell of maple sap steam. There is no known cure!

    All equipment and supplies really should be stamped with Surgeon General warnings about the risks and long term effects.

    I have to be careful when driving, as I have been identifying sugar maples on the side of the road wherever I go. "Gee, officer, I don't know why I was swerving..."
