tapped in tioga county pa 2/11/2017

first run was sat 2/11/17at 2:00 pm est got 250 gal sap desent sugar content 3.5 boiled it down and got abought 8 to 10 gal of syrup grade a light amber.it is still freezing at night hear and thawing during the day. im feeling like we are going to have quite a few mor runs. runs right up till mid april or late april. will see? had another great run sat night to sunday night then we froze up for abougt 5 - 7 days. thats okay give me soom time to boil and rest up for the next one. have fun and good luck every one.:

I wish I had the same positive outlook. I don't think I will make it to April 1st.

I was thinking the same. No freeze for several days. Just hope the weatherman is wrong again.
