We have a 2x8 right now and have always thought about changing from wood. I know they have small propane evaporators. Do they make or is it possible to have a larger one?

You can natural gas conversions for oil burners. Should be just an orifice change to use propane.

Does anyone else have experience firing with propane on larger rigs? I'm cosidering it in the 30x8 -3x10 size evaporators. I have the propane tank that I use for the rest of my property and can buy propane for a 1/3 or more less than oil, though I know I'll get about a 1/3 less BTU's out of propane as well. Just looking for producers who have experience firing these medium size rigs with propane - the do's and don'ts.
