    Default surprise surprise

    with the cold nights last week and then warming days midweek, i expected a good run. got almost nothing wednesday and thursday. then, when i had given up hope, they trees loosened up and gave me 75 gallons or so on friday. busy day today with kids so it looks like im cooking on sunday. anybody else in ri cooking lately?

    My trees were finally flowing good today. Should be some more flow this week. I boiled one weekend, about a month ago. Not much since. I was concerned that all that warmth we had, had dried up the tap holes. They have come alive again though. Looks good for anther boil this weekend. Hopefully another 200 gallons or so.
    2011 15 taps.
    2012 40 taps.
    2013 100 taps, all sap sacks. Custom built 2x6 wood fired evaporator and sugar shack.
    2014 125 taps.
    2015 145 taps
    2020 175 taps
    2021 70 on 3/16 gravity lines 70 on sap saks
    2022 100 on 3/16 gravity lines. 40 on saks

    i only boiled twice. it sounds like we are in the same boat. the lines were flowing a little today. the reds more than the sugars. but tomorrow should be a gusher! lets hope this weather pattern holds for a little bit.
