Made 12 gallons today, had 800 gallons of sap in 48 hours, it was running really good at 10am , vac pump holding at 24-25" sap is still clear I'll be it as long as you don't let it sit. I'd definitely surprised if we make it past Tuesday but only time will tell. Still lots of snow but it doesn't look like a freeze in sight.

Got home at 4pm today to find the Tanks overflowing, vaccum at 24" still, got 550 plus gallons since noontime Sunday. Still flowing good right now, made 5 gallons Dark Robust tonight , sugar content at 1.2, I really need an RO for next year. Going to try and make it to the weekend, it's 37 now at my house, just took a ride to town and it was nearly 50°. So hopefully I can hold onto that cold air.

Thanks, got another 400 gallons today, think I might try to hang around for the rest of the week, the tree buds are still looking good out here. I just wish the sugar content was better, maybe next year. I think it's going to Freeze Thursday night and Friday night. Still 2 feet of snow in the woods where the water isn't running. Glad the vaccum is holding at 24" because I really wouldn't want to slog up the hill looking for leaks again. Boiling tonight, really wish I had an RO

300+ gallons today, Diaphragm finally gave up on the Vac pump today it was only pulling 5" when I got home, changed it out quickly probably 10 minutes hooked it up and was back up to 26" in 15 minutes, I'm thinking that I may have had a few pin holes in the pump because I was pulling just 24" prior to the change. Diaphragm clearly ripped from Fatigue. I would say it had about 400 hrs on it. Thats not so bad, now I need to order a few spares,

Looks like a freeze Thursday and Friday night so we'll see what I get, the buds are definitely larger on the soft Maples but the Sugar Maples are nice and tight, still shooting for the weekend.

That's great that you are still going. Pretty impressive on the number of hours that the pump diaphragm lasted. How are you doing on your syrup total?

Syrup total is pretty poor, just about 85 gallons, sugar has been around 1.2-1.4 all season, I've boiled more sap than ever. I'd be happy if I hit 100 gallons at this point.

I really like the Guzzler pump for what I was using it for, I'm sure it's not as good as a traditional wet/dry line system on 5/16, but as a 3/16 hybrid setup it's hard to beat.

Got 450 gallons of sap today can't remember the last time we had a freeze, supposed to freeze up tonight, going to boil a little bit on the stove to make sure that the sap isn't buddy.
