Yesterdays run was great, nice and clear. Today ran good but getting cloudy, smells fine and hanging at 2 %. Looking at the forecast I think 2 maybe 3 more runs. Might be my best and I missed the February run.

, that's some good sap you are getting, my last few runs have been 1.2-1.3%, I've got a few days left I think. Might hold on to Friday. Curious what the rain will bring. Made about 15 gallons last night on 1300 gallons of Sap.

Yesterday I dropped to about 1%, run slowed a bit but still very clear, buds are swelled pretty good . Sadly I think today is it for me, can't wait for it to be over , but sad to see another season in the books. Good luck with the rest of the season Nate.

Hauled in my last 80 gallons of 1.3% sap last night and boiled that off. Just need to cook down what is left in the pans and ill be done with maple for the season. The buds are getting real close here and no nights below freezing so i guess that's it. Better luck next year folks.

Going to take a stab at tapping a few birch and making some of that.

I hung it up Thursday night, Vacuum pump got really noisy the last few days, thinking I am loosing a bearing. Was still pulling 27" but ot was really loud. Made 240 Gallons on 800 taps. I'm pretty happy with that, I didn't Tap until the 5th or so of March. Going to boil out my rig tomorrow and start working on next year.

I'm glad that you had a good season. I hope that the vacuum pump is a cheap fix.

Not bad for the length of season you had. Good luck on your pump repair and getting ready for next season

I'm still at it Making syrup. My life is a bit of a zoo with Young kids and a Busy "Real Job" 2023 was kind of a lousy season for me, this year 2024 has Been good so Far, I've only made 80 Gallons but the Sap is flowing hard and I Have fresh tap holes, I've got 900 tapped & 25" of Vacuum. I got a late start tapped my last 250 on Saturday. because I was putting up more 1" Mainline. I've got up 7000 Feet of Mainline now and it definitely helps with the shorter laterals.
