    Default Late to the party?

Never thought I would feel late to the party in February. Cant get to camp until Monday. I get my best flows at the end of March but this recent warm spell has got me anxious to get going . I have about 300 taps; tubing, pails, and maybe some bags this year. Good luck all

You may have missed a run or 2 but I think the best is yet to come.

I've got 28 taps out and I've made about 2 gals of syrup so far, went out today to 16 gals of fresh sap. You've missed some but lots still to go!

Got done tapping in time to enjoy 2 days of run before the freeze. Made about 3 gallons, ready for it to start up again. It is great in the woods now. I was able to skid a bunch of logs out with my quad on top of the foot or so of concrete snow, unlike tapping last week in the 2 foot post hole woods yoga mush. Let it flow.....

So much for being late, probably 16 days in between flows looking at the long range forecast for coos, and if its right it will be slow at that . The buds on my reds are getting fat, sugars are tight. Good wood cutting weather.....

I tap mostly reds and the buds are definitely getting plump. I was thinking of pulling my taps this week but i might try holding off until after the freeze to see what happens.
