I'm going to piggy back Brandon for a moment only because I feel this is important to consider. CDL was one of the first to come out with the 3/16". those who have followed in recent years might look to the naked eye to possibly have a better price, but when you look closely you will see that others do not extrude as much material into their tubing. Why is this a problem? if you stretch your tubing properly and you don't have good integrity within the tubing, you will see that it will create sags as the weather warms. You don't want to be constantly working your lines to keep them tight and you don't want them necking down so much that you create a constriction area. It has been amazing to see where companies cut corners just to make their price look good. Stick with quality and you will be much happier 5 years down the road. Semi Rigid has the best balance of grip, rigidy, and flexibility. you wont be disappointed. Good Luck and have fun most of all!

I have used both the Leader and CDL 3/16" and have not seen enough difference in the 2 brands to say that one is better than the other. Fresh Spout, you need to read the site rules about dealers posting.

well, i strung up 1000' of 3/16 CDL semi rigid this morning and it worked great, i just need to get myself a spool unwinder. managed to get through almost all of it before i got it all twisted up unrolling off my arm and had to spend 5 minutes with my ball of tubing.

The way the squirrels and dear, bears chew the 3/16 and they really didn't touch the 5/16 I know the natural vacuum thing I have it 29" of it on my 4 runs of it,just go buy the syrup!!! Just kidding I'm mad how they chewed the 3/16 and not the 5/16,I will be removing all my 3/16 at end of season instead of fixing all the chews on the side of the mountain next year!

How are you planning on removing your 316? I have to pull 2,000-2500 LF of it at the end of my season. at this point i'm thinking of finding some small spools to wind them up on after i flush them

My runs are like 500'-700' since I need to change the tap I'll just cut drop at the tee then just coil it bigger then the way it comes and in the warmth change the tap then reinstall the same way thru the same trees some say spray a dot on the side where it goes but I will remember my tress have some distance on some I don't think I will mess up I did a lot of these trees on buckets so I know the path, after I stretch the run then add the drop to the tee so it's not to hard to coil uncoil.im for sure going to remove then I can flush and blow out to dry for me it wil be easier then all the repairs!

my runs average about 350 a piece on borrowed land, so i have to mark them discreetly when i remove the lines in the spring

I won't mark I will get it right I hope! I also hade 5/16 on the same route so been thru there a lot,the 3/16 works unreal compared to the 5/16 since fire had both on same trees but I will remove n install from now on! It's so easy to run that why I will do it.

I mark some of the trees but what really helped this year was that I put a piece of duct tape on the line just before a turn and put an arrow to show which way to go after that tree.
