Have you tried to just push them up the tree farther at the end of the season. We do that and very little damage.Yesterday when went out to add more tubing seen 6 deer wondering through the woods.

At where the tubing touches the tree the squirrels get and in the middle I guess it would help with the deer but the squirrels I'm sure will still get it ? I'm not a big operation so will just be easier to remove I think but good idea on raising it!

First post ever, HI all!!!
Another new guy here, just looking for some info. From all the info i have been reading on here, it seems the way to go is 3/16th tubing (natural vacuum) if your bush has the right elevation drop (mine does).....MY QUESTION IS....., everyone on here says 3/16 way out performs 5/16. Is that just on gravity, or does the 3/16 actually out perform 5/16 on a vacuum system???...The guy that i have been helping with his bush the last few years thinks i should do a 5/16 vac system, but from my thinking, if a 3/16 system can get you anywhere near the sap of a 5/16 vac system, you would have to be an idiot to not do 3/16. From my number crunching, 3/16 seems to be the cheaper way to set up a bush. Plus it seems to be alot easier to setup....Thoughts?????....Thanks...Brent
p.s. A rifle should take care of any deer problem, 5050racing.....haha
I'm still new to this as the fresh morning snow, but yes. 3/16 should be much cheaper to install and zero running costs of vac releasers, pumps, etc if you have the right terrain to work with. You can get away with less elevation drop if you use a $100 diaphram pump that can run on a battery and solar charger too.
