    Default Started Tapping, Southeast Ohio

I tapped about 1/3 of what I plan on tapping today.

    3/16 gravity.

I wish I had tapped about a week ago, but it is a hobby for me and I was not quite ready.

It felt good to get the lines, out.

It sure has gotten easier to get 3/16 equipment, I like that.

Good luck to all who tap, let's hope for a long and rewarding season.

I tapped this past weekend and have seen some good sap flow but haven't made a ton of syrup (my sugar content has been pretty bad at around 1.2-1.4). How many taps did you end up with Tor Haxson and what county are you in? I'm in Athens county and did just shy of 1,600 taps.

We really need to be praying hard for some hard freezes and get some frost in the ground or we all gonna be dealing with low sugar content.
