It hasn't changed much, it was $1.33 then and $1.32 yesterday, but this chart only goes through 2016. https://ycharts.com/indicators/canad..._exchange_rate
If it was the same, then the US bulk price paid would be higher. The packers wouldn't pay more here than they can get it out of Canada minus the exchange rate. The news said yesterday that the 2016 year was at a 17 year high (US $$$) in the difference. Why crude oil and petro are going up while every other commodity is getting hammered has me wondering what in heck is really going on?
