I have been using the Maple Jet from the Maple Guys for 3 years and very happy with the results. I bottle in 12 oz and 10 oz bottles and as clear as can be. After 3 gallons the papers do tend to get full

Rob, are you botteling right off the evap.? you say after 3 gallons you need to change papers, how long in between draws or do you hold syrup hot and filter 3 gal in 1 shot. I have been thinking about this filter press, but not sure I can keep syrup hot enough [right off the evap. ] or can you collect for a little while and then filter. I guess what i'm trying to get is at what temp. are you able to filter at ?

Off the evaporator at 219 degrees filtering through cone paper filters. I then will finish with propane to proper density, drop temperature to 185 add the diatomaceous earth and filter into bottles. (note) On the out put hose I put a nozzle to easily fill the bottles and wear a glove on the filling hand as it gets very hot. Excellent investment for a small producer!

When you purchase a 5" press from me, you get instructions and support as needed. I have about 8 years experience in solving all kinds of problems that producers have come up with.
