Sap Workshop Dec. 3
Heads up to Producers in the Western Maryland, Southern Pa. Western Virginia and Eastern West Virginia areas, Dr. Abby van den Berg will be presenting a Sap Science Workshop on Dec. 3, starting at Potomac State College in Keyser WV. then in the afternoon we will be going to a near by Sugar Camp to walk the sugar bush with her, she is one of the leading researcher's in the Maple Industry in the US and Canada, She is based at the Proctor Maple Research Center in Vermont. This a great opportunity for those that can not make it up north for educational workshops, one of our goals of the West Virginia Maple Produces Assoc. was to have workshops like this in our State, we always invite neighboring state producers because the funds to hold these events come from Specialty Food Block Grant Monies which is Federal for USDA.
