    Default New Sugarhouse Cupola

I am the process of building a new sugarhouse. Question is has anybody ever built their cupola longer and run the smokestack up threw the cupola roof? If so, how did it work out? I am thinking of doing it to make the cupola longer for a better balanced looks because the cupola is going to sit closer to one end than the other.

I made our cupola design like you are thinking about doing. I couldn't decide what features I wanted to build into it, so I chose everything. A window in the front to let light in. Drop down doors in the back for ventilation, Powered fan for more airflow and full hoods with steam and stack pipes exiting outside the building. It all works great.
