Default Maple Syrup and ALS in Nematodes

I just read an interesting article on the Facebook page of IFLScience about how Maple Syrup can protect the neurons of nematodes from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

lots of interest in ALS research happening right now, especially after the ice bucket challenge of 2014. Not sure that it will have an impact for me in the time I have left, but if helps the next folks who have this awful disease, awsome...

I have been following on the Trader all season , but have not posted as I can't type much any more. Using an asistive computer now that will eventually allow me to use my eyes to type.

We did manage to make syrup this year, but only about a third what we last year. But the goal was to have fun and enjoy the social aspects of sugaring... Which we did in spades.

Lots of help from family and friends, epecially Parker.

    Keep on keeping on....

Good to hear from you, Eric! I'm so glad I met you at our place a few years ago. That little vacuum pump from you still works like a charm. Pulls on about 250 taps.

    All the best, my friend!
