Does anybody have experience with A&A's hobby evaporators?

2014 - 19 taps on gravity, propane camp stove with just 3 gallon pot - made 6 gal
2015 - 130 taps on gravity, 2x4 flat pan on run-down arch - made 25 gal
2016 - 300 taps on gravity, 2x6 A&A metal shop raised flue evaporator - made 25 gal (missed 2 weeks of season and then had to dump 10 gal of syrup)
2017 - 275 taps on gravity - made 38 gal (again missed out on some runs)
2018 - 275 taps on gravity - made 52 gal
2019 - 275 gravity - homemade RO (2 4x40s)
I posted all these pics in Sugar House Design and Construction but figured I would update in this post as well. Since everyone asks lots of questions about not only the A&A evaporators, but the sap tanks as well I thought I would include a pick of my 750 gallon raw sap tank after the "cribbing" was built. Even after using a truckload of lumber, it's still the most economical choice for storage as far as I'm concerned. The evaporator set-up is nearly complete, with a little plumbing left to do. We are hoping to boil water before the holidays and shake down the system so we can rectify any issues before the first sugar boil.
It came with everything needed to start boiling. It took maybe 4 hours too set it up and it worked flawlessly with no leaks. Boiled about 32gph without blower. I bought it set up for a blower system and plan to run a blower next season. This is the best evaporator for the price by far. I f anyone plans on getting one to use for the 2017 season you will want to order it before Christmas though to have it by February.

I visited A&A Sheet Metal yesterday while on the Tioga/Potter Maple tour (A&A was not part of the tour) to pick up a current price list. Instead, I ordered a new arch for my pans so that maybe I can actually boil in the back pan.
Found out that Dan Miller is taking over and from the way i understand, Andy will be moving out of the area but Dan intends to continue making everything and was telling me about some of the stuff that they are thinking about adding such as a one side drawoff with reversible flow front pan and a heated bottler.
Turn around is amazing in his off season (right now). I pick up my arch next Friday and he said possible as soon as Wednesday.

I was very happy with the 2.5x10 that they made for me. I am shifting next season to mostly selling sap, but I think I will be ordering one of their 2x6 evaporators so I can still make syrup for family.

Dan said that he would be getting a price sheet for me when I pick up my arch at the end of this coming week, I will make sure to post it here.
