Default Wanted to show off my new Filter/Canner

I know what many of you will say about the top and filter area. I let him know that the style he designed won't work, so he is redoing the filter holder and will use this:

I love custom made work by a great craftsman. Anyone needs anything made he does GREAT work!

Nice looking unit. How much syrup will it hold?

My math is pretty bad but if I'm right it could hold 11 gallons at a time, not sure I'd bottle that much at once though but I could if necessary.

16x16 will hold 1.11 gal/inch deep, if those measurements are accurate.
Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
    After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.

Beautiful unit. Do you mean $400 as shown with thermometer and valve? I agree with you, filtering without the right equipment is by far the worse part of this insane "hobby".

Ended up being $485. I went to Slatterlys Maple supply just up the road from his shop and they had a similar unit from CDL with the holes for the filter unit just like he originally made me as opposed to the grating, it did come with a burner, but they wanted $1025 for it, EXACT same size. That's CRAZY!! This will sit right on a little propane burner stove I have or a turkey fryer base and will be exactly what I wanted and needed.
