Seems like you're doing well. This is all on gravity, right? How many gallons/tap so far?
Steven Abbott

Sap is really pouring in this evening. So thankful for the extended season. Totals so far 3355 Gal. on 352 taps 3/16 gravity. Should break 10 gals a tap when I deliver sap tomorrow tanks will be full if sap runs all night.

My buckets finally slowed down Friday night 4/1. Got delicious, although very dark, syrup. What color are you getting?
Wurmdert,
How many taps are you putting on a line? I am converting my bush from buckets and have a few 3/16 lines set up. My longest has 25 taps and pulled 25" of vacuum during the few runs I had. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.
Total Newbie 2012 Not a great year to start, but had fun anyway!!!
50 taps on tubing and buckets
4 Pan Block Arch
About 4 1/2 gals finished
2013 Hopefully getting smarter.
100 taps on tubing and buckets
5 Pan Block Arch
About 13 gals finished
2014
220 to 225 taps on tubing and buckets
2x6 Lapierre raised flue
small shed turned into sugar shack
So much to do!!!
I have any where from 15 to 45 but most are in the 30's. 45 line dosnt seem to restrict flow at all. I have lines close to 1000 ft in length still work great.
