Sam and I spied a decent setup not far (2 miles) from us on water company land in Monroe. Looks like a vacuum system, but not done yet. I will be curious to see a bigger setup first hand without traveling far. Unless they truck the sap!
BTW, people talk about throwing away the ice. When it is zero F, the whole thing is frozen. Even ice floating on tap may have frozen sugars inside. I boiled some strained ice last weekend separately, got syrup, actually lighter in color than the rest I have.
2014 Year 1, 1 large front yard shade tree with 3 taps - 3 quarts of the best syrup I ever had.
2015 - Convince In-laws and Neighbors, bought F-150 and bricks. 20 taps, 4 gallons in pretty bottles.

2017 - Mortared Brick Arch with serving pans, no make that an 18 x 48 CDL divided flat pan, 48 taps.
