I use the same for mine. the little bottle from lapierre. it never sticks. Also you can put a little hot water on it if there is any sugar on it it might stick. You can also take it apart since we are already frozen up. and just take a little scotchbrite and polish it up and get rid of any scratches that might get hung up on the rubber gaskets.
