Was just wondering if anyone has made a homemade oil fired arch from scratch. I am looking to do this and am looking for ideas. I searched the site, but haven't found anything.
Thanks

I built a homemade oil fired evaporator. I used a 275 oil tank. My evaporator is rear fired and my oil gun is under my flue pan. The front of my evaporator is ramped to my finish pan and exhaust gas are forced through my flue pan and up the stack. How big are you planing on building?

I built one this fall, you can see pictures on forum. Home made maple equipment- home made reverse fired arch.
I know this is an old thread but I'll add a picture of the one I built. 18X30 pan.
I get between 7 and 9 gph and use about 5 gallons of fuel per gallon of syrup.
This is my fifth year boiling on this setup.
