OK I finally fixed it... sorry every time I tried to fix it before my computer would freeze.

No Sap here since Sunday. boiled out everything had 100 gallons delivered from someone who is done. Joe from Brentwood... really nice guy said it talk to you Josh.

Then when I was done Chris brought over 124 gallons and got another 150 from his tank that he didn't want so I had that to boil last night although guessing it was pretty old it took ALOT of defoamer to get it through the pans. and was all mersh... sooo I guess that gives me another reason to clear out evap. Back pan is a mess anyway. Picked up a little vinegar see if I can get a little niter off of it too.

Trees haven't popped yet and there is GREAT sap weather on the way. Hopefully they will hold out if not I will have to rely on the few sugars I have. maybe run a little gravity tubing to free up buckets. that is if the sap turns on the reds. I refuse to give up. besides need some mersh for BBQ sauce.

Oh Eustis if you are tapping sugars you should be all set. you are farther south than I am but you just have to boil it it might be strong but it may go away with consistent sap weather. not sure.

Well smaller crowds than normal so far this year. Good sales as usual just smaller crowds. The fire house pancake fund raiser is Sunday so maybe tomorrow will be better

We got a few hrs of freeze but no a whole lot of sap. First freeze since last Friday I think it was. I have a few budded tees I unplugged them so just have wait to see if we get some more sap.

Another maple weekend in the books!!! Over all a little lighter on the crowds than the past few years but pretty good sales and for the most part every one was very nice. We have had some rough red neck crowds in the past. One year I was still finding tasting cups and coffee cups months later from maple weekend. But my voice is still intact but I am cold it was breezy and chilly even next to the evap. wasn't that warm since all the doors were open!

I think we are gonna move into the sugarhouse and my wife's art studio because my house is trashed from several days of thrashing!!!

Not much for sap again today but I don't think it broke 36-37* today. I am waiting patiently for some sap to see if I can still go on.

Well decided to throw in the towel. Not that I haven't tried . Sap was coming in a little better yesterday afternoon but took a gallon of sap right out of the release and boiled it down... ropey... with only buckets to get maybe 75 gallons. And no more freezes in site I am done. If n irs not raining tonight I will be pulling bucket taps today. Probably one of my worst seasons except for my first when my yard got flooded from 5 inches of rain in 48 hrs. Even worse than the week of beach weather we got in march a few years ago. Oh well glad to see some are still going. Good luck see ta next year!!!.
