10" Stainless Stack
I'm looking for 4-6 foot pieces of SS stack with 10" diameter. Jim at Smoky Lake Maple only has 2' and I live in NE Minnesota. Any ideas? DuraVent doesn't have 10" in stainless from what I can tell. Where is everyone else getting their large diameter stack and steam hood chimneys from?
Most get stack and steam sections from a maple supply- they carry the sizes that are much bigger than the usual stove pipe sizes. Do you have a sheet metal shop near you? They can make something up for you and it will probably be cheaper than the maple supply companies. I had a local place make all my steam stack.

I run 8" duravent stainless, Works good and looks good, plus they are 4ft sections.

I'm not sure what your concern is with 2' sections? That is what I have and it works just fine. It was also easy to handle on the roof by myself. I guess the only downside I can think of is having a seam where you go through the roof. But with single wall pipe fire your not really looking at the same Fire Codes as you would with a residential installation.

Let me ask a different question. I was advised that on my 2x8 arch, I should use 10" stack pipe. I have a total of 72 square inches of outlet (4"x18") at the stack plate exiting my arch. 8" pipe has area of 50.27"; whereas the 10" stack has an area of 78.54". I have to go up 22' to get out of the roof of the sugar shack. What is your opinion on using 8" vs 10" stack for draft. Can I get by with 8" stack for an AOF/AUF arch?
If you are inducing air into the arch, draft is no longer part of the conversation. And yes, a 2x? Arch will work just fine with an 8in stack pipe.
