Well we have called it quits too. I'm going to boil the pan out tomorrow for our maple weekend. Overall we didn't do too bad. Had 4200 taps and ended up with 1775 gallons of syrup. Most of it is Grade A Amber. We did make about 10 drums of Golden. Only made about 300 gallons of dark, and a little very dark. Sugar content sucked!!! Most was 1.5% if we could of held 2% I think we could have made a full crop. Overall I think most of Somerset county is going to range somewhere in 50% to 70% of a crop. Just to put the word out. I'm looking to buy about 50 to 70 drums of Grade A amber or Grade A Dark. Must be packed in stainless or plastic drums. Guarantee to pay above most bulk buyers. Give me a call to discuss 814-521-5961.

What was that saying brick by brick or something like that.

Made syrup the last 3 nights no huge amounts but it's very good tasting Dark Robust sugar has stayed put and the sap is still clear. Calling for 2 days 50 and rainy and then freezing nights for a week and maybe a day or so it doesn't get above freezing.
