    Red face Sugar Mama Award

Last night I was about an hour into a boil and my wife showed up to bring me a coffee and some cheese (Cabot of course). About 2 minutes after she shows up my pager goes off, I'm an AEMT on the local volunteer ambulance. She of course yells CRAP!!! What do I do, I tell her add wood every 15 minutes and don't let the pan run out of sap. She has never had anything to do with the evaporator, her main job on boiling day (Maple Church we call it) is to keep the beer and cocktails cold, keep the snack full and keep the conversations going.

The ambulance call was longer and worse than expected and ended up taking about 2 hours, I got back and the pan was still steaming away. The preheater pan was just about empty so that will be this weekends lesson.
