    I'll be tapping Tuesday and Wednesday in SW Connecticut (Stamford). Looks like the weather is going to be prime the next week or so.
    Former Life: 300+ taps (125 gravity, 200 buckets), 96 gallons of syrup in 2015
    24x16 public sugarhouse
    2x6 wood fire evaporator (back pan Waterloo Small & Leader 2x2 front pan)
    Current Life: Backyarder with Mason 2x3XL. New sugar house coming soon…

    Forecast does look good, but I agree with ebourassa that it still feels a bit cold and probably won't be flowing. It can't hurt to start though

    Do you have any problem selling all that you make?

    well spent the day in the sugar house cleaning the evap and all the tanks, i am all set now and ready to tap, few loose ends to tie up and thats its, boy am i glad that is all done. I love this hobby but i hate the whole cleaning process, seems to never end. I am looking on tapping this weekend weather is looking good.

    a wife who doesnt understand why we like to boil water so much!!!!
