Default Not a good year so far but question is to turn pump on tomorrow or not??????

Gonna get down to 30 tonight my question is to run the pump tomorrow or not gonna hit 39 they say. So far this season all it has been is a waste of gas running the vac pump. 280 gallons of sap so far not good. I guess I will see what the temps are in the morning since the pump ran all day today an only pulled in 25gals. what would everyone else do???????????

My pump is electric so I don't have to chase gas. That being said if the temp is going to be above freezing the pump is on. I have had days where it only brings in 25 gallons and it seems like a waste of electricity but it all adds up and when averaged out over the whole season the syrup that I get more than pays for the electricity. If I had to buy the gas I might think twice about it but would probably run it anyway. The season is only so long and if the sap does run and you didn't run the pump......
