So after an especially slow start to the season this year, I ended up putting out 10 more taps yesterday evening. That makes 40 trees so far, lol. My hobby just keeps growing. Gotta love it.

Hey bretmw how do you like your half pint evaporator looking at upgrading to one next year
I love it. I actually am able to do draws of about a quart or more at a time after the pans are sweetened. I've seen where other half pint users batch boil, but when doing draw offs, I'm able to have lighter colored syrup. That is until later in the season when the syrup naturally darkens.
If you want to see it in action I've been boiling on Wednesdays and Saturday or Sundays. Depending on the amount of say I have. I'd be glad to show it to you Chris.
