2015 - 15 buckets, 2 bags and 5 on 5/16 gravity. Made about 1 gal of maple and a whole lotta learning points. Currently working on birch and building the sugarhouse.

I put out another 40 taps tonight. Checked some of my buckets in the windy areas & found some full buckets. Guess I will collect tomorrow & start with empty pails Wednesday & see what we get. Think I am up to 350 taps. Going to get an exact count next time I collect.

I checked mine at 1400hra. Nothing other than a 1/4 cup in any, including the ones in full sun all day.

Here's to hoping that tomorrow starts out the swing of things!

Made another gallon of syrup tonight, started with a 100 gallons of sap, just got boiling good & had to shut her down. Lightest syrup I have ever made. Mine is the left most one in the sample

Had a decent run yesterday, collected about 35 gallons of sap. Hoping we get a bunch after the next night below freezing. I really need to sweeten my pans... haha

How many Taps did you get out? Total? Should run today really as frozen as everything was, yard trees that have been thawed awhile probably won't ,but I would & hope the woods trees will

Honestly i lost count. I have about maybe 15 or 20 more to put out and that's it. I ran out of tubing for drop lines so i guess ill have to buy another roll. I'm guessing its somewhere around 125 -150 but who knows. I'll do a real count once i get back up north on Friday. Hoping my buckets are all full by then, then i can start boiling!

My woods trees are producing squat. Got a half gal off 16. The trees at the wood line produced all of it.
