OK guys, lookin for some advice, extended the evap this year, I now have a 4 foot firebox, and 2-3' wood. Would you fire it alternating between front and back, or just in the middle, or? I couldn't do 2 doors, looking for opinions

My firebox is large too. I would say toward the front under the syrup pans. The heat and gasses will travel under the pans - towards the stack and out.

2x5 F.O. Tank Arch/Wood Fired
2x5 Mark/Josh Custom Pans
12 x 14 Sugar Shack
55 Sure Taps - 100 Unsure Taps
Fire the front and block off the grate behind the firing area. This will keep draft air going through the wood and not just through the evap.. cooling the pans.

Thanks for the great advice, blocked off 12" of the back and made it match the ramp, now it boils all channels front to back except the first one where the float box comes in, sometimes that one boils half way, it
