Tapping completed.

Interesting fact with this year snow cover my taps are 2 ft lower than previous year and some tree almost 3ft. The snow was so hard i did not have my snowshoes.

Next step waiting for the SAP to clean the line and see how my vacuum.

Everything look for a quick season with a abrupt end.

Good Day,

After a beautiful weekend of boiling and almost 10 gallons of syrup, now we got snow and below zero for few days. That gives me a little break.

As per the forecast we should restart Thursday or Friday depend how many SAP we’ll collect later this week for now nothing.

Ps. SAP was not too sweet, by Saturday brix was 1.5 !!!!

****ty day of low pressure and bad rains all day. But boiling was great not much Niter and sugar content still around 1.7brix

Back tomorrow for another great day.

Good evening,

Crazy day..last night my 300g tank was at 25g . This morning it overflow …i started the evaporator at 10:00 after filing the evaporator
tanks was at 270g.

I boil +/- 30g per hours i stopped at 16:00 and my tank was still at 250g..i turn off the pump for tonight. Tomorrow will be the same!!!

Sugarshack is clean and ready for boiling, but by Wednesday temperature will drop to -18c (11f) for 24hrs. Instead tomorrow i’ll check my taps for vacuum leak….

No rush forecast is clear after Wednesday.
Ps. I dont need to clean and empty everything for that freezing day….

Another run of 4 days. Just Saturday we made another 5 Gallons of Syrup ..was fun. This week we are back to -12 for 5 days. Good
reason to clean everything. Little break before Easter.

Ps: SAP sugar content still low.
